Does anyone have experience with this rifle, good or bad? I am looking at buying one in a left-handed version for my son in a 7-WSM with a 22 inch barrel. Would also like to hear if any other manufactures are making this caliber or the 300 WSM in the lefty version.

I had a Micro Medallion .243 for about 8-9 years. It was a very accurate little rifle. I did not want the 20 inch barrel on a .243 was the main reason that I sold it. I could not get the velocity that I wanted for varmit hunting with it. Other then that, no complaints about the rifle or it's accuracy.

I don't have any Browning experience, but would think that would make a great rifle

With that said, my neighbor is a south-paw and shoots a Tikka in 300wsm - its a good shooting rifle

A friend has one in a 7/08, man what a sweet little woods/carry rifle. Everything about it I liked, fit-finish-operation and my friend could shoot moa with it easily.

My concern would be its weight and pulling the trigger on a heavy bullet magnum load. But then again I dont particularly like recoil.

If you think your son can shoot it fine, go for it.

That 7WSM would be an awesome round! Wished I had one. I am a fan of the WSM's. I am not sure about the recoil in a light rifle like that, but I bet a good Limbsaver or Pachmayr would do a great job at making the rifle pretty tolerable. Scotty

Great rifle. Great cartridge. I only wish it were a longer barrel to wring out the full potential for the 7mm WSM.

Hi guys -
thanks for the feedback...I was able to find a Tika this week, (wasn't aware they had southpaw models) in a 300 WSM. I went with that since I have one in a 25-06 already and found it to be a great shooter right out of the box.

That should be a great rifle, plus I guess you can keep your reloading components down a little, with you both having the same caliber! What model is it? Never heard anyone complain about a Tikka. Throw a picture of the new one up!!! Scotty
