This week has been a freaking mess. Monday I was getting all jacked up about going buck hunting in a new area with my bro. But, corn harvest started last Tuesday, we quickly got into corn that was to high of moisture to harvest. Things were looking like I was going to have to work this weekend, but things didn't dry out as fast as I thought they might so I'm getting packed to head out. It is going to be kind of a quick and dirty deer camp, but it might be the only chance I get so I'm going to make the most of it.

I'll be packing the M70 270 Weatherby loaded with 140 ABs clipping along at 3285. The 280
AI will make the trip as back up. It is pushing 140 ABs @ 3195. I'm pretty dang excited.

Hope to have some good stories and pics to share come next week. It might take me a while to get the results posted when we return (we'll be diving back into harvest), but I'll do my best.

We're all pulling for you, Jake. Trust you are successful in tagging a fine buck.

Thanks Mike. If I tag one it will be a nice one. My wife and I both have doe tags for meat so I'll let all the young bucks walk in hopes of them being bigger in a year or two. My biggest buck is a nice 22" 4x4. I'm hoping I can find one better than that.

Go get em Jake either one of this rifles are going to do a excellent job for you
Looking forward to photographs and a story or 2.
Be safe, have fun and shoot straight :)

Blessings,
Dan

Good luck Jake! I hope the Model 70 gets to speak! I know the 270 WBY will make it happen!

Hope your hunting and your harvest work out for the best. My cousin in Illinois has already written off his corn.

Sounds like you're ready with those two loads. Best of luck.
