Since it’s close to my birthday I ordered ammo for my .416 Rem Mag today from Midway.
I ordered the Buffalo Bore 416 Rem Mag 350 Grain Barnes TSX. My thinking is, I’m not a fan of monumental bullets BTW, I need velocity for the bullet to work properly so I dropped to the 350 grain bullet. That will increase my velocity to allow the bullet to work properly. Being bigger than .375 and weighing 50 grains more than the .375 ammo, 300 grain, it should work for Dagga Boys.
If Swift ever gets off their behind and starts producing ammo I’ll go to the Swift A Frame, 400 grain bonded, provided it shoots well in my gun, but who knows when that will be?
Anybody used the Barnes .416 bullets on Cape Buffalo or know anyone that has. I’d love to hear about it.
