When I was at the range yesterday, I pulled out my Marlin in 375 Winchester. I have 220 gr FP Hornady bullets loaded up at 2100 fps. My Marlin is zeroed at 150 yds.

Looking at the ballastics, the energy is 1050 pounds at 200 yds, which I would consider the end of the range for this caliber and bullet.

Seems like the debate between fat and slow verse fast and sleek holds true for the 45-70 and 375 Win.

This fall, will be bear time for the 375 !!!!

Within reasonable ranges, the 375 Win will deliver the goods on black bear. It is a delightful cartridge when chambered in the Model 94.

There's no replacement for displacement. ;)

I keep getting the urge to order one of those .500 S&W Big Horn Armory lever action rifles...

Just because...

That 375 with the 220 FP should be a boomer Eric. My buddy has a M94 in 375 Winchester and it's really accurate and does well with RL7. He shot some really small groups with that rifle and the Skinner on it.

Hope your able to tumble a bear or deer with it.
