For those who like such things shot a pig in Alabama with a 25-06 and a 100 gr. TTSX range about 70 yards pig 60 lbs. had about a nickle size exit . Guide told me if you don't hit bone they'll run and they wont bleed. I didn't hit bone it ran and it didn't bleed it made it about 60 yards. Sorry there's no pics. I tore my knee up and was in a lot of discomfort at the time. I would just add I found it interesting that the guide that cleaned it told me the insides were just jello but there was very little damage to the meat. I thought it was interesting he mentioned that. He cleans 100s of pigs each year and I didn't ask him he just offered it he ask me what bullet I used he seemed impressed.

I shot a Mule deer @ about 180 yards I used a 300 RUM and a 168 TSX dumped him on the spot. Shot a yote @ 154 trotting along was a little surprised by the result not as much as him though. Over all I was pretty impressed I found them easy to get to group in every rifle I've tried them in.

Shot a whitetail 80 yards with a 338 RUM and a 210 Partion nothing new here 338 in 50 cent out same as they've been doing since 1948.

Now the interesting one my friends 165 gr. Hornady spire point interlok 300 Win Mag 80 yards 1/4 shot . In the gut on the near side stopped in the hide just behind the off shoulder.

It over expanded a bit and shed some weight which retarded penetration a bit . Whats left weighs 120 gr. not to bad for a cup core bullet that was crowding 3200 leaving the barrel. good hunting KH

Great report. Looks like they all did great! That Hornady looks real good as well.

Khh

You have had great success.
The 338 RUM is impressive on game. I have the exact same rifle.

It looks as if those bullets performed adequately. Dead animals is always gratifying.

Very interesting. I like it when guys take the time to describe the results of different bullets on game.

GREAT looking buck there with your .338!

I only shot a couple of deer with Barnes TSX bullets, mostly out of curiosity. Not sure one expanded, but it did kill the buck quickly. Stashed a few boxes of them away (before Nosler came out with the E-Tip) in case Washington ever decides to follow California and create a "no lead bullet" zone - it's already been proposed. So I do have some TSX's stashed in 6mm, .257 and .30 cal - just in case.

Hornady is by far my favorite NON premie bullet.

Yes Fotis I would have to agree with you regarding the lower end bullets it is hard to beat them.
Actually as you know I am a Nosler guy but the Hornady GMX are a real good premier bullet as well.
The Barnes bullet is no slouch either but I have used Nosler for so long I am more than happy with them as you guys know as my Pop used to say if it ain't broke don't fix it

PS. Thanks for the info and the photos :)

Blessings,
Dan

Dan ever have luck with the Interbonds? I never did, they won't shoot for me.

I used a 165 grain Interbond in my 30-06 to take a mule deer doe. It really blew a massive chuck out of her off side. I was surprised at the explosive nature of that particular shot. Interlocks always gave me good accuracy, but I've had less success with InterBonds and GMX.
