I was interested initially on this offering from Hornady thinking it would be good with my 300 RUM.
But holy cow that cut away pic reveals alot about the bullet. The jacket is really thin. I agree that the Ballistic Tip is a dead ringer and or the ABLR compared to the ELD-X. My nephew killed a nice 5 x 5 bull at 400 yds using the 190 ABLR from his 300 win mag. he said it was devastating on a rib cage double lung shot, he dropped after 5-steps. What more could you ask for here?

All I will say here is thank goodness for Nosler. Nosler's offering is pretty tough to beat given the depth of bullet selection.

I'm perfectly satisfied with the 200 AB used in my 300 RUM.

I've got a few boxes of the 178gr eld-x on order to load in a 308 Win. Should be about perfect for that rifle given the lower launch speed.

Here's it tested at 2725. 70.8 for jacket and 108.7 for jacket and core. 54% retention.

I will try and get it tested again at 2500.

Looks like a perfect deer bullet for my 708.....should be good to 600 yds based on bc.....

I have forgot to send the bullets!!!! Damn it! Things around here have been hell the past two weeks. Sorry. When my rifle gets done being built I'll shoot some into wet magazines while I'm breaking in the barrel.
