After getting some very fast loads compared to book velocities, I cleaned my rifle very deeply including iosso with brushes and then wipeout overnight.
Velocity dropped 200 fps with the next rounds.
After some searches I find some shooters saying the Reloder 16 I was using lays down carbon more than others. Anyone else notice this?
Any gentle techniques for getting the carbon ring cleaned other than scrubbing with abrasives?
Just when I think i have things figured out (been loading for this rifle for 35 years), along come new issues. I guess that's why reloading stays interesting.
