Case length

This may be a dumb question......... How much less than the case length dimension (given in the reloading manual) do you trim your brass.
I am reloading for a .257 Roberts, the case length in the manual is 2.233" Do I trim to that dimension or a couple of thousandths less?

Most manuals give max trim length, recommended trim length is normally 0.010" less.Rick.
