Case trimming question?

That's pretty cool and certainly should be effective Bill...... but for guys like me who don't have the experience or tools to make those nice straight cuts I'm going to have to Fork out the whopping $6.95....lol.

You only need one square cut, the one on leading end-edge of the "ring". Its why before cutting you square the neck using your trimmer and deburr as usual. After cutting what remains of the neck is trimmed a bit more but only to add a bit more clearance so the ring doesn't bottom out.
The advantage of that method? In the case of a tight neck chamber, or any chamber for that matter, it matches the neck OD of the brass you're using. For example, my 250Imp has a .283" chamber, the brass turned to .281" for .002" clearance with a bullet seated. In that instance the gauges sold by Sinclair wouldn't work.
