After years of seeing blurry out of focus sights I final said enough is enough and had the cataracts removed from both eyes. Though I need cheaters for close up reading my distant eyesight seems to be perfect in both eyes. Both eyes are still healing but man what an improvement.
Back in June I shot in my States Bullseye pistol champion ship match and placed first in my class without the surgery, but I had to pick which dot I would use since I saw multiple dots in my sight picture. Sunday I shot in a local 1800 match, 90 shots with a .22 rim fire pistol and 90 shots with my 1911 .45acp.
My scores had improved substantially better 865 for the .22 and 835 with the 45 out of a possible 900 with each caliber. I was so excited to see the improvement that I forgot the X count. Bullseye is shot standing one handed at 50yds and 25yds, 30 shots at 50yds and 60shots at 25yds. The 50yds is shot 10 rounds in 10 minutes for each 10 shot string, the 25yds is shot in 5 shot strings of 20 and 15seconds.
The target was shot at 50yds with my custom built 1911 45 on one of my better days when I could see my sight.
Hopefully I'll be able to recreate this target again since having the eye surgery.
