Just a reminder, leftover licenses went on sale today. I'm going to go stand in line shortly and try to get a buck tag, unlimited bull, and hopefully a leftover muzzleloader bear tag.

Good luck with the tags YoteSmoker.
Wish I was able to go this year, just got the college tuition bill in the mail.

Well, I got a little lucky and not so lucky. Was able to get an unlimited bull license and a leftover bear license for the second rifle season.

I drew a 2nd season cow license and muzzleloader doe license and doe antelope license back in June.

I am without a buck tag and was told that they are already sold out. I find this kinda hard to believe, because last year there were over 2500 tags left. I'm gonna try going to another store and see if maybe I get lucky and the guy at the last store didn't make a mistake.

I don't plan to take but a couple animals, but having as many tags as I can get in my pocket mimimizes the thinking process of what I can shoot and what I can't.

Yote,

I had my wife call in for me today... ( finally got through this afternoon to be told she can't do it for me that I needed to do it )
Needless to say I wanted a first season cow tag and ended up with a second season cow tag.
Now the delima.....which gun to take?

PowerStroke - Think on the bright side. The second season is the longest.

I found out that for some reason this year the DOW made all deer tags available by draw only or leftover draw and are not available over the counter/unlimited like years gone by.

Here is what I ended up with including my draw tags, unlimited, and leftover licenses:

Sept 13-21
Muzzleloader Doe
Muzzleloader Buck (another area closer to home/will split up season)

Oct 4-10
Rifle Doe Antelope

Oct 18-26
2nd Rifle Seaon Bull Elk
2nd Rifle Season Cow Elk
2nd Rifle Season Bear

Yote,
WAY to early to tell eh, but might be a good year to hunt low... callin for some good amounts of snow in the high country tonight.

Tonight? WOW! Last year I didn't see snow until early September. Guess I better get snow chains earlier than I anticpated. But, as we know, you can never predict anything within 24 hours even in the low country here.
