I loaded some ct for my 300 ultra mag xcr. I could't load them in the magazine, they were to long. Has any one else had this problem.

You have to load to just under the magazine length or load as a single shot.
I load my 338 RUM to fit the magazine and get accuracy that is well under MOA.

Ditto. They should shoot ok when loaded at saami specs, but every rifle is an individual.

I'll second and third that. The magazine is my limiting factory on my .300Sendero. For a bench gun, a single shot is fine ( can't believe anyone would take the punishment all day on the bench tho )
For a hunting round, load them to fit the magazine. I'm starting to get mine to come around and under an inch.

I have loaded some acubonds 180 grain to, I have the same problem, to long. I know the col is 3.600, but I'am loading at 3.790-3.810, thats .030-.015 of the lands. I shot three quarters and under at 100 yards. I wonder if anyone loading at magazine size is shooting this good and is'nt that to far of the land, that would put my bullet at .180 of land is it dangerous or will it just not matter to shoot but for accuracy. Thanks for the input..

My SAKO 300 ultra load is set to mag length.

200 grain AccuBond
3175 fps
95 gr Retumbo
.292" at 100 yards
Below is a group at 300 yards
.675" at 300 yds.

I load my 338 RUM to the magazine length and do not worry about the freebore. The accuracy from my 700 LSS is excellent. Picture below shows a 4 shot group at 100 yds with 250 gr PT's (factory seconds).

If my buddy would have told me he was selling his Oehler 35, I would be able to give you an exact velocity.

Approx MV is 2900 fps. ME is 4670 fpe.

Enough accuracy and power for most anything on the planet. :grin:
