I found this comment laying around:
"According to Fred Sinclair's Precision Reloading Manual each rifle has a
distance from the bullet to the rifling that it prefers, regardless of
bullet type."
I attempted to purchase the book, and no dice. Cheapest is $815 used at Amazon!
Anyone find this to be true?
I ask because I believe I have seating depth for 180 PTs figured out in my 30-06: 2.613 inches CBTO. As I approach that depth in testing with 180 ABs, my groups appear to be tightening up. However, the samples aren't statistically significant, just anecdotal evidence in support of the above.
