Converting CUP to PSI

The reloading data I have for 338 Win is generally in CUP. Can I really use the following with confidence Psi = (1.51586(CUP))-17,902. While this formula makes the conversion trivial, it's also co-efficient heavy.

After seveal searchs of this forum for enlightenment, I came away empty. So, I decided to ask this question. I hope not to be tedious, merely inquiring.

I have seen this subject beat to death on several sites and have decided there is not a conversion. I think if there was an easy way to convert psi/cup, it would be in the loading manuals.Rick.

I had read some of Denton before and was very confused with his 5% Unknown variation. At least this what had me concerned originally. Guess I need to do what Rich implied: Forget the conversion and develop my own data in PSI.

Thanks again for the help.
