For sale: A custom Springfield 1903 target rifle chambered in .30-06. Remington manufactured receiver, not drilled and tapped for scope bases, Redfield International Match peep sight and globe style post front sight. The Flaig’s Ace heavy contour barrel measures 26” long. The walnut stock is pretty basic but has a light gloss finish, and length of pull is 12 15/16”; the thin pad could be replaced with a thicker recoil pad to add length if you so desire. The military style 1.25” leather adjustable sling could use some oil. The magazine follower is as issued, popping up to stop the bolt after the final shot has been ejected. Bore is good and clean. Barrel has some light blemishes just forward of the breech and light muzzle wear. Trigger pull is nice and light with little creep, but my pull gauge is on the fritz and I cannot get a consistent reading. The scope friendly aftermarket Mark III safety does not work and will need some professional attention.
