Anyone test drive these yet? I wanna give em a run in my new 264 wm once I get my scope ordered. If they're everything the company says they are, they should be awesome. High B.C. and good penetration over a wide range of velocities!

Just read the company literature. Looks like they have put a lot of thought into these, they have some interesting ideas. Let me know how they work. Particularly interested in what kind of dispersion you get and if you have trouble with metallic fouling.

I have been eyeballing these as well for my stw. I think Fotis shoots them, I have been waiting on a range report from him for a bit more info.

They do look darn impressive.

I was hoping to try the ESP Raptors after talking to them but the BC's aren't as high as I hoped. Because they are brass they are also light for their size and they are making them to magazine feed so they are only making them so long. The terminal performance is suppose to be awesome with the nose shedding the 6 pedals and the base continuing on through the animal. I was going to try some in my .416 for my Dec. elk hunt but they didn't get them done on time.

Some of the guys at LRH have had good results with some of the 338 offerings. Soon as my scope shows up, I'll order a box and see what I come up with. 3300ish with an advertised B.C. of 560 should scream!

Daniel (the president of CE) sent me two experimental 180 gr 308 he wants me to test.

Additionally i will be testing a 300 gr 375 bullet (.750 BC) and the
MTH C21 180 he CE
These are all Match/Tactical/Hunting Bullets.

Now if the gale winds quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tell me about it!!!! I live 2 miles from the rifle range. My neighbor's weather station showed the peak gust last night at 72mph :x

Well you'd certainly find out how well they buck the breeze!

I really wish you wouldn't have posted this....I can barely afford to feed my 338 Lapua as it is. Now I'm having a very hard time convincing myself that I don't need to try these! My wife is going to be very angry with you guys....

YUP!!!!!!!!!!

They are spendy but it will not be a practice bullet proposition

FOTIS, how is the velocity with these compared to a "normal" bullet of the same weight? Is the load data similar to what you find in the manuals for a regular jacketed bullet? I was just crunching the numbers in my ballistics program and if the BC's are accurate on the 252 grain .338 MTH bullets and I can achieve 2900+ fps from my Lapua then they kick the crap out of the 300gr SMK's! I mean even with the lower BC D60 bullet (.650) at 2900fps it's beating the SMK by a little more than 3MOA at 1000 yards. If you look at the D59 with a BC of .7 things start to get really impressive....if I could push it to 2950 (reasonable I think) I'm looking at 23.7MOA to get to 1000 yards where the SMK needs 28.8MOA.....and even more importantly it even has less wind drift! Almost sounds too good to be true....which is why I'm a slightly skeptical, but maybe for that price you get to have your cake & eat it too? I think the thing I like the most about the idea of these is from a hunting standpoint. Obviously a cartridge intended for LRH but what happens if something steps out at 50 yards....with a SMK or Berger I cringe at that scenario. With a solid copper bullet....I think the results might be more acceptable, and still have confidence that the bullet will open up at longer range as well, where a "typical" hunting bullet might not.

Load development and drop verification might be a bit pricey but after that a box of bullets should get me through several years of hunting which makes it much more feasible.

I can only go from what Daniel told me. They create pretty identical pressures as Sierra Gamekings/SMK's. They are longer but the rifling engaging surface is relatively shorter.

I promise as soon as I get a chance to test them I will post all results here.

I will test in 30-06 30-378 and 378

Same here. If for instance they shoot well in my 378 I will need maybe 1 box for development and then what? 5 bullets a year for verification of sight in and hunting?

Thanks FOTIS! I'm sure I'm not the only one anxiously awaiting your report! I'm sending good weather vibes your way!!! If possible can you try to include any differences/challenges in loading them, especially in regards to seating depth? I've always just been a hunting reloader and I'm just now venturing into precision reloading so I'm both a little bit intimidated and trying to learn as much as I can from others who've got a lot more experience than I do!
