A friend of mine texted me an ad for this and I didn't know it existed. Anybody know, seen, handled one of these? I searched CVA website and read about it. Just wondered if, what any of you guys had to say. Friend is interested in it.

A buddy has a CVA Cascade in 7-08. He brought it over last summer to get it zeroed in. With inexpensive PPU 140 gr ammunition, it was shooting .7" groups. Needless to say, I was impressed.
It's a nice rifle, especially at the price point it's at.
I would think that the 35 Whelen offering would be a good one.

What I can find out this would seem to offer a good bolt action rifle in 35 Whelen at a reasonable price not having to go the donor route-reboring, re-barreling or high prices for Remington models. Time will tell.

There is something about the 35. I’ve been looking for one in a number one for a while. To date they are all fetching quite a premium. I’m to the point where Im shopping for a donor, they all use the same action/receiver and send it off for new barrel. Cheaper than just buying the Whelen #1.
