Deer stand becomes duck spot

We had four days straight of rain that finally ended on Monday morning. We needed it but we got a lot! I went out to my hunt club this morning to check on things as two of my stands are in the swamp. This is a before and after pic of the stand. This is the same stand I shot my buck in that I posted about last week. It was bone dry then! I got a picture notification this AM and apparently it's a duck hole until it drys out again! I've only seen water higher than this one other time.

This spring in one the heavy rains , a couple of ducks took advantage of the high water.

That is a lot of water.

I think wood ducks are one of the prettiest birds around.

Not ducks but I have hunted and shot turkeys out of a deer stand.
