Guys, i'm looking to purchase a new digital scale. I have read several reviews on Midway and it seems like they are all hit or miss. What brands have you guys had luck with. Any brands to stay away from? Let me know your thoughts. I liked the RCBS 750 until I read some reviews. I don't want to spend over a $100 on a scale only have it last a year.

I've been using a PACT Digital Precision Powder Scale for almost two decades and am very satisfied with it.

I have used the chargemaster now for 3 or 4 years and it has been smack on.
My cousin uses the Lyman and it has worked every bit as good.

Blessings,
Dan

I use a Hornady scale. Works really good. I double check it every once and awhile with another scale, and it's right on.

RCBS scale and dispenser here, and I would only change for a lab scale like the Sartorius. The RCBS is very user friendly.

I use a RCBS micro pro. It works good.

I calibrate it every time its to be used.

I had a Lyman 1000 or 1500...(dont remember which) it was a good scale too.

Don't complicate the scale thing too much. Just get one if it seems decent and make sure to calibrate it often.
tip to the wise....Make sure you dont have other high power items on the same circuit, power bar, outlet, etc. They certainly can affect readings.

I now use the Sartorius (http://www.sinclairintl.com/.aspx/pid=38348/Product/Sartorius-Scale) on a daily basis; it has provided good service.

I pretty much use the same one except when I bought mine it was called the Acculab VIC123.
Acculab is owned by Sartorius and Sartorius Mechatronics decided to eliminate the Acculab brand. Acculab Vicon Series are now replaced by the Sartorius M-Prove Series.
They are some really nice scales and I'm glad I dropped the change for one

I've had my PACT for a long time and it stays on all the time. I haven't had one problem with it.

I have the RCBS Chargemaster scale/dispenser combo. I have been using it for 6 years now and have not had one issue with it.

Well thanks for all the input. It looks like I'll give the RCBS a try. Thats what I planned on to start with.

I use a Hornady 35 grain digital scale which I got for half price. Just don't let a weighed load sit on it too long or it may give you a sprurious reading. Other than that, it is accurate and repeatable. I use it to weigh bullets and cases.

I have been using the RCBS Chargemaster combo as well. Its been in use since 2007 and its spot on. Lee
