Stayed up way to late watching returns come in last night. There is an opportunity to un-do some of what has been messed up over the last 20 months. Hopefully both parties get the message that was sent last night and start dealing with the issues, and not play politics. This can easily swing the other way in two years when there will be more people out voting for the presidential election. I AM ELATED WITH THE RESULTS THOUGH!!!

You are incorrect unfortunately Rod. I saw they just made her speaker of the house :!: The voting public had enough of her and voted her out. So what do the rest of her constituants do, they put her right back in a position of power! My bad, but to still keep her around. That in itself is bad enough when voters said that they have had enough of her and yet they still allow her to stay around in some shape or form. I still think that's a poor choice!

Bear in mind that many blue dog Democrats were voted out, leaving primarily doctrinaire progressives. Ergo, it makes perfect sense that Pelosi would be their leader. Actually, it can only be good for Republicans in 2012 to have her in place. People will remember her "accomplishments" and give yet more of those rascals a pink slip.

Her term in the House wasn't up this year. Hopefully the "PEOPLE" around the San Fransico (go figure) area will vote her out, but I doubt it.
