Here is a whitetail rack from 2010 that I did,



Here is the wife's whitetail from 2011. I just finished it today.

I know it's been a few years, but I usually save these projects till the wintertime...usually. I am practicing up with small deer mounts so that I can mount her moose antlers with ease.



Both slabs of wood are walnut from a local tree that a buddy was taking down.
 
Looks as if you are mastering the technique. The mounts look very good. Congratulations.
 
Thanks DrMike. I find the most time consuming part it getting the right amount of Plaster of Paris mastered. I have to build it up, shave it off and repeat until I get the shape I want...
 
Those came out great! I may "borrow" that idea for a mule deer rack I've not done anything with. Nice job!
 
Nice whitetails and great job on the mounts. Make sure you show us your wife's moose rack when you get it done, would be cool to see.
