I don't know if it would be worth the time (for me) to save such a little amount. I wonder if there is a sealer that comes in a spray can that would replace the tape, or maybe a different base material that would eliminate the need for either.

That would be cool using it while shooting long distance around 500 yards instead of making a trip up and down the range to see where the bullets hit. I need to try it.

I have made a few batches of these. They work...but I did have some issues with one brand of tape not wanting to take the paint.

I’ve been using these all summer on the 300 yard range. Easy to see 223 bullet strikes at 300 with 3-9x scope.
