E-Tip length ?????????

Thanx buddy.

Anyone have any on hand??????????????

Nosler 30 cal Ballistic Tip 1.364"
Nosler 30 cal E-Tip 1.475"

I feel like I'm the only one that purchased E-Tips. I've posted a bunch but have not seen much feedback on this site? :?

How are they shooting for you Mike?

As good if not better flight than the ballistic tips. Those longer bullets seem to make a difference. May explains why I do better with the 155gr Lapua Scenars vs the 155gr Nosler Comp (30 cal).
I usually experience a 30-35% mass loss with the Ballistic tips. I have not yet checked the E-Tips (I know Nosler claims <=5%)

Mike

Oh, by the way: 30-06 with 57gr of RL22

Just measured my 200 ab's....1.494". So the e-tip (180) is right on the heals of the 200 ab. If a bullet that long shoots good groups at 100 it should be really stellar at 300 yds. I would have to tell people that it's been my experience with the really long bullets that it's not uncommon to see 1.5 moa at 100 yds and under 1 moa at 300 yds so don't be discouraged with any groups till shot at longer range.

I think nosler is missing a potential marketing niche. With the length being longer than normal they could market some "odd for caliber" wts.
Heck you can buy 165 wt from anyone in 30 cal....but can you buy a 158 or 160 grain hunting bullet? Think about it.....most every reloader would have to try it.....at least anyone with some "adventure" in them. A 160 wt 30 cal in a mono bullet would most likely outperform any 180 cup and core for wt retention....and being so long would probably be a higher bc. It would open a big market for those wanting to push the 308....3006...300 wsm to the next level. WELL don't listen to me....I'm just a dreamer....but would order the 160 grain 308 in a heartbeat.
