Enough is Enough

Many of you know we lost our oldest son on 4/8/26. While we where staying at the hospital family members were taking our dog out and feeding him. Within a week of our son passing Manny became leame. He was bitten by a tick and got Anaplasmosis he was on a 30 day antibiotic and got better. 2 days ago he started becoming leame again we started him on antibiotics again. Last night and this morning he won' t get up. Please guy's pray for Manny. He's a beautiful Golden Retriever. I'm ready to let him go. It's been a tough 2 month's.

I'm really sorry to hear this mate, a horrible couple of months. Goldies are a beautiful breed. We had a big old Golden Retriever boy lived to 11 but broke my heart when we had to have him put down. A man couldn't ask for a nicer dog, never met a nasty one. Hope Manny pulls through.

Thanks everyone. Manny is almost finished with his 2nd round of antibiotics. He's getting up and moving around a little better each day. He's walking a little further every day. He does struggle walking up hills. He goes down steps but won't come up them. I built ramps for him. He's a very smart and funny dog. He likes watching hunting shows he goes crazy when he see's animals on tv. He'll bark at them and when the camera is on the hunter he stops. The vet said they can't see that good He said there was something triggering him. I showed him a video and he said that's amazing. I know he misses Brian cause he followed Brian everywhere. A lot of people told us he would be a excellent service dog.

I lost my son as well. There is no pain worse than losing a child. No matter the age. It broke me inside for a couple years and we still grieve. He was supposed to put me in the ground. Now add losing a pet that truly is a member of the family. I’m so sorry for the loss and hurt your feeling. My heart breaks for you. I will pray for Manny’s recovering. It sounds like he may be healing. If you ever want to talk I’m here any time, day or night.

Thank you I appreciate it. I’m sorry and saddened to hear your loss. They are part of the family. They give unconditional love freely, They comfort us when we are down, and somehow they always know. They will work fields until their feet bleed, they will work it until they drop and never complain.
