ER Shaw rifles

Now that Shaw has been producing rifles for a while...anybody here have any reports as to performance?

Looks like a 10/110 action with a Shaw barrel in your choice of stocks. Not hardly "custom", but sort of a "build a gun" approach with some interesting chamberings available.
 
I looked into one a few years back when they first came out. I asked how long and what was the deposit to build a rifle. They told me 12-14 months and 100%, and I politely told them no thanks. If I remember is was like a $1400 rifle and I decided I could do better on my own for that price building myself. I still think that to this day.

$1400...sounds really high. I agree, I think you could build a really nice Savage re-barrel for that, in a much nicer stock.

For that matter, at $1400 you can buy some VERY nice factory "semi custom" rifles.
