What a great cartridge & rifle! Have been out at the range again with the .375 H&H, and I don't know why I didn't buy one of these things 20 years ago... What a great piece of work. Amazingly easy to shoot. Accurate too. Gotta love it!

Youngest son was out there too, driving tacks with the .25-06 rifle!

A friend and his daughter were there too. She was practicing with her .25-06, for their upcoming trip to New Zealand! Too cool.

Hot here today, 94 in town and 102 at the range when we packed up and came home to the air conditioning... Ugh.

Looking forward to bear season...

It is always good to have range time, and so much better when shared with loved ones.

It was fun at the range, despite the heat. Son is set on using the .25-06 for bear in a month or so, and he shoots it well.

I'm torn between my two Number One rifles, the 7mm mag with 160 Partitions at 3100 fps or the .375 with 260 gr Accubonds at 2650 fps...

The 7mm likely makes more sense, but what a great excuse to hunt something with the .375 H&H!!!

Then I can use the 7 on mule deer later in the fall... I think that's the plan. Maybe. For now anyway. Subject to change...

Sounds like you can't go wrong either way, but it would indeed be fun to take game with the .375.

Guy, I would take both, then you have a back up as well as another gun to carry for a day or two if you want. When hunting several hours from home, there is always at least another gun in the truck. Good luck on your bear hunt and whether or not you get one, enjoy the season and have a great time hunting with your son!
