Looking for a good 375 Winchester load. I’m going to be loading for a Winchester 94 and it’s for a buddy who is a bear hunter(black bear) over hounds. So I need an accurate and good expanding bullet that will dump its energy fast. Obviously not shooting too far. And is there any tricks to forming brasss from 30-30 empties.

I have only loaded the Hornady 220 gr FP for the Marlin 375S to date (32.2 gr IMR4198 in WW cases with WLR primers). Otherwise, have also used the Winchester 200gr Power Point ammo on big game with good results.
I do have the 200 gr Sierra's for loading for my 94 Big Bore, but have not done so as yet. Will be shooting HSM ammo loaded with this bullet to see how it does.
Sorry, have only ever used 375 Win brass, so cannot discuss forming brass from 30-30 cases.

I have used the 200 grain Sierras with Reloder 7 with good results on deer.

Shooting a T/C Contender 375 Winchester, I recovered a Sierra 200 gr FP in the 5th jug. MV is around 2000 fps. The bullet expanded to .705" and weighed 191.0 grs. JD338
