I recently bought a new Winchester Model 70 in a 7MM Magnum caliber. Knowing how different brands of rifles prefer one load over another, does anyone have a Winchester 7MM Magnum that has a pet load for hunting whitetail deer?

ghostrider06,

Welcome to the forum.

Look at the 140 gr AB or PT with RL22, starting at 63.5 grs up to
a MAX load of 67.5 grs.

If you are shooting long range, consider the 160 gr AB with RL22.
Starting at 59.0 grs up to a MAX of 63.0 grs.

I've had really good luck with the 150gr. ballistic tips in that caliber using IMR 4831 start at 61.0Gr. and work up.....65Gr. Max.

my Win model 70 7mm Rem Mag has shot very well with a number of different loads. The one I used the past two years is the 160 AccuBond at 3050 fps loaded with H-1000 and CCI-250 primers winchester cases. Start with about 69 or so and work up. The other is the 140 AccuBond with Reloder 22 at 3300 fps. Start around 67 and work up. Both have shot sub 1/2"groups time and time again. I also had a pretty good load with 139 gr bonded bullet from brand x and reloder 22. Work up loads carefully and get a decelerator pad.

You can see a pic of the whitetail I took this year with the 160 AccuBond in the hunting pics thread.

66.0 RL-22 with a 160 Partition, FC brass, Fed 215M is the ticket in my M70 stainless/synthetic with BOSS set to 2.5 (26" barrel). Puts em in there like they got eyes. Also accounted for my mulie this year at 286 yds. Accurate, Deadly, Dependable

Been loading up some 140&150 gr. CT Silvertips for my 7mmMag. Recenty I bought some Nosler 160 gr. PT. aand loaded up for use on Whitetail deer. Can't wait to see how they perform on deer here in Alabama. Most of my shots that I've been getting are 100 yds. or less The 160 gr. should put a nice hole in them.

Noslers Rock!

The Federal load using the 165 SBT is excellent along with the 160 Nosler Part load.........The new Fusion ammo should also be excellent!

Kinda like the 160 weight for 99% of the game up too moose!
