Federal Terminal Ascent Ammo Issue / Question 155gr 280AI

OK I finally picked up a 280AI and I bought a couple boxes of factory ammo to get it dialed in and starting building a pile of brass. The first ammo I started to shoot was Federal Terminal Ascent 155gr and it seemed to work OK but I had an issue I've never seen before. I shot ~12 shots today and on 3 of the cartridges the primer fell out when I ejected the round. I've never had this happen before with either factory or handloads. Has anyone ever seen this before and is it anything to be concerned with?

Also from what I've read there should be no issues resizing the silver plated cases, I trust the people and was just looking to confirm no issues with it.

I’ve been given a lot of brass over the years and Federal is the worst hands down. I’ll deprimed it and into the scrap bucket.
I would rather buy quality brass and start from there.

Yeah the other pack of factory I have is Nosler AccuBond 140’s, that will be good brass.. It’s just more expensive so I like to dial the rifle in / go through barrel break in with the cheaper ammo.

I should have mention the rifle is a TC Encore Pro Hunter with a MGM barrel on it. The primers were simply falling out when I removed the cartridge, I have never had that happen before.

I've never had blown primers from factory ammo. Normally it would be worn primer pockets or too hot of a load. Not sure on the factory ammo.

Try some other ammo to make sure it's not something with the rifle. If other ammo is fine I would reach out to Federal to see if they had issues with that lot.

I've reloaded Federal brass before and not had issue. I typically don't reload Nickel plated brass though. I did just resize a box of it without issue. I've read you don't get as many loadings and neck tension can be different.

I have been shooting the Federal Terminal Ascent ammo in several rifles and cartridges, and have not had any troubles.
As suggested above, I would contact Federal and see what they say.
I too have reloaded once fired Federal brass in several cartridges over the years and haven't had any issues with their brass, but will admit, I have yet to try reloading any of their nickel plated brass as of yet.

Thank you guys. Going to go shoot the rifle tomorrow with the Nosler ammo I have and will make sure it’s not happening with those rounds as well. Assuming the Nosler ammo is good I will contact Federal!
