I just got my new 338 O'Bryan (338 edge AI) and the fireforming data I got was for 95 grains of RL22 with a 250 grain bullet. I'm wanting to use up some 225 grain bullets, will the 95 grains of RL22 work OK for fireforming or should I add a few grains?

Thanks POP. I was thinking adding a few was the right answer but wanted reasurance.

Here is a picture of the 338 Rum (left), 338 Edge (center) and 338 O'Brien (right).

The 338 O'Brien is a 338-300 RUM (338 Edge) Ackley Improved.

Whats the case capacity of the obrian? Thats a very interesting cartradge and is anyone making dies for it?

Improved case on a general basis add 5-maybe 10% more that the original.

The 338 O'Brien has the case blown out and a 40* shoulder increasing the case capacity over the standard RUM case.
This cartridge will push a 250 gr PT with 103.0 grs H1000 to 3250 fps from a 26" barrel.
