Needless to say I am very excited! 3 non resident points got me a tag. IT is going to be a great time it is in the same unit as my uncle is building a new shop/house so I have a place to stay out in the unit should be a blast

Dad gets to go with me too to scout for his deer hunt a month later

Should be a great opportunity to test out the 257

Anyone else draw Nevada

Congratulations! That is great, and to have family in your unit makes it all the better. I'll be looking forward to your report and pictures of your success.

It should be lots of fun! My uncles has a tag for the next unit east but he said we will get my Goat first because there are lots more tags in my area so we need to beat the people out there.

I dont need a trophy I just want a pretty one for the wall!

Now I still have a week to put in for California and I have a 50/50 chance to draw my mule deer tag but I have not told mama that yet. Trying to decide if I should tell her or just apply? Because I also have to squeeze in a disneyland trip sometime this fall.

Congratulations and I hope you get a whopper, or at least a very beautiful antelope. They are one of the most elegant and beautiful animals there are and make a gorgeous addition to a home! All that and they are wonderful to eat also!

257, 257 what? Roberts, AI, or Weatherby. What load will you be using?

I will be in the unit due north of Elko part of 6 and part of 7 up mountain city hwy and on both sides. Uncle has his tag for the north east part of the state part of 7 and 081 091. and dad has to scout for deer in area 6.

I will be using the 257 wby and backing that up with my 25-06. Both shooting 110 gr accubonds

Either one of those will work perfectly!

Congrats! I understand that's a pretty tough tag to draw.

Enjoy your hunt, it should be a good one. I've been through that area a bit, but never explored it thoroughly. There's more to it than meets the eye, that's for sure.

Sounds like a great draw buddy.. Congrats. It is tough to draw those NV tags..

Sounds great! Keep us posted, and let us see the pics of your speed goat. I will be hunting vicariously again this year. CL
