A little one with mom, crossed the field below my house this morning. I knew they were already moving around but I not seen one yet.

I saw several mule deer fawn this past week when I was looking for bears. It is always a good sign to see new life in the herd.

I saw my first fawn a week or so ago. I also got a couple bucks on my game camera out back last week.

Same here. The fawns in this area started dropping about 2 weeks ago and the bucks have had new growth a couple weeks more than that.

They are really fun to watch. They are pretty safe here, not many 4 legged predators around now. Their biggest danger is the county road which gets one or two a year.

Me too right here in Cheyenne. Yes in the city

I have seem numerous Antelope in the Casper city limits, why not Cheyenne?.

I spray weeds for the county as a summer job. We have to be real careful in the tall grass now until they are up and moving more. My partner and I have almost run over one each with out spray 4wheelers. I missed it by a foot or two but my partner missed the fawn by only inches. We are seeing deer and antelope fawns all over the place now.

No pictures yet but I saw my first fawn of the new year this evening. Still pretty wobbly but cute !!!!!!!!!!

Always neat to see the first signs of new life. Glad to see you out and about, Bill.

Thank you Mike, I have been moving well and hiking almost every day, shoulder is still very sensitive, especially when I try to reach out to my right, pulling or pushing "anything". I am at 5 weeks today. Fire fitness test is on Wednesday, I will have no problems.

I haven't seen any fawns in this part of NC as of yet but I expect to see them showing up in the soy bean fields with their moms any day now. I usually spot the first fawns around here in early June which is right around the corner but it isn't unusual to see one in late May either.

Saw my first new fawn today. It was pretty spry and running around with its mom. My wife saw one on Sunday in another part of the state. I have been wondering where they were hiding as I have had several does hanging around the brush thickets below the house for days. I will be looking for more in the coming days.

Always glad to hear of new life, Bill. The older I am, the more I enjoy knowing that life continues.

That's one of the reasons I like spring so much, mother earth replenishing with new life. the year my son passed we had a live tree in the house for Christmas and I planted that tree in the center of my front yard as a tribute to him and life. That tree has provide food and a place to bring new life into existence every year and I enjoy watching the birds and other small animals that visit it year round.
I like to think that spring replenishes the soul with new hope of life with the passing of each winter.

Reading this watching a little news to see an elk in Yellowstone charge some knuckle head lady. No mention of a calf nearby but it makes you wonder.
Bill, glad to read you're healing up.
Hope you have a quiet summer. If you could arrange it I wouldn't mind a little fire in the Walla Walla unit. Getting kinda thick in places.
Stay safe this summer.
