Results from my first try at the 168gr ABLR yesterday...
69.0grs MagPro
Nosler Cases
CCI 250
Seated 3.300" OAL
3 Shots Chrono Data
1.) 2733 fps
2.) 2733 fps
3.) 2717 fps
Average: 2727

Rifle was Rem 700 SS vintage 1993 (24" barrel) . Seems to be cursed with a slow barrel.
Same charge in Hornady cases would likely average 2800 fps...

Accuracy: Another 3 Shots - first and third virtually same hole, second I pulled. I didn't have my shooting 'A' game with me yesterday.

There is nothing wrong with your technique so far as consistency is concerned. Those velocities will yield good SDs. How was accuracy?

Accuracy was very good. Far better than I was actually shooting yesterday morning.

Seated at 3.330 in that rifle they are 0.080" off the lands as measured with a Hornady OAL gauge. I have found that any of the "plastic-tipped" bullets what ever the weight shoot best at or close to 0.080" jump again in this rifle.

This load is still 3 grains under published maximum so there is room for some gains. However at this velocity even sighted 2.5" high at 100 yards the trajectory doesn't deviate more than 3" out to 270 yards and it is packing 2025 lbft still at 300 yards. (y)

Certainly does look like a good load. Assuredly worth exploring farther.
