Flex-Tip

I am trying to help a friend with his 30-30. He is wanting to try the new bullets Flex-Tips. Has anyone tried these and what kind of loads have you used?

I haven't tried them in the 30-30, but I have worked with them in the 356. They give me good accuracy and velocity. I haven't taken game with them yet. I also loaded up some in the 358. Again, velocity and accuracy were very good, but I haven't yet taken game with them.

I've shot some of the Hornady factory ammo using the 160gr FT in my Win94 30-30. It is pretty accurate as factory ammo goes, consistently punching 1.25-1.75" groups at 100yds from any of a variety of field positions. I'm not loading them yet, and may not, just based on the loads I've got that work with the 150gr Speer flat point. But we'll see. I'm going to hunt with these 160's if I take the 94 out this season (two weekends left!).
