Here is my 54 cal Issac Hains I built 15 years ago from a Track of the Wolf parts set. It has;
Rice C wt 38 in swamped barrel with raidus groove rifling
Siler deluxe large lock
Metal browned with Walkon Bay solution
Stain is Laural Mt Forge Lancaster Maple 2 coats and Birchwood Casey Walnut 3 coats rubbed back.
Finish is Walkon Bay Tru Coat.

I shoot 80grs 3F drill cloth patch with Wonder Lube. This tighter weave material for patches along with the smooth rifling results in patches you can pick up and reuse if you want to. Did it and it works.

Excellent. The swamped barrels are not as common in kits but I love that detail in the barrel. Was the barrel groove pre-inletted into the stock?
The stock was advertised as a 95 % inlet but there was quite a bit of finish in letting to do on the barrel channel and other parts. Swamped barrels carry and balance well. That's why it was really a parts set not a kit so much. When I put the touch hole in, I had to set the barrel back because of the lock inlet not lining up.

Great work on it. Everything looks very neatly put together.

A work of art that is guaranteed to put a grin on the chin of anyone holding that fine piece.
