Yes but you designed the bullet with the bc being way too low. Honrday and sierra's bullet in this weight range have a much higher bc which helps it buck the wind better and hit harder.. When you make bullets like these you must consider the bullets b.c . You did a good job with the 40gr 22cal
ballistic tip. A b.c of .220 is better than the competition.. You need to be close to or better than the competition at the same weight bullet in regards to the b.c.
You realize of course all of the variables that go into calculation of the bc. That number is only a gross general representation of what the capabilities of the bullet are at a given rate of travel. The Nosler BT is a long skinny pointed tip bullet with a boat tail. Would you not expect it to perform similar or better than Hornady's 40 grain flat base? For further argument compare it to Sierra's published data for their 39gr Blitzking. They show it with a bc clear down at .210, but also as high as .287. Don't be so hasty to judge using that silly little bc number.
