Ford DPS6 Transmission

Today I put in 7 1/2hrs changing out the clutch assembly in my boy’s Ford Fiesta. Ford has had a lot of issues with this dual clutch set up. We put the full clutch kit in even though the B-side fork only was bad. Being a salt belt car of 9 years we had quite the chore with corroded hardware. Aluminum and steel over the years developed some nasty corrosion. Tomorrow we’ll add the fluids and button the rest , he had to leave so we called a day and I went out to my blind. Hopefully he can reprogram the TCM and it will be drivable again.
Ford wanted $3500 to do this. I’m not sure if the car is valued at that.

any of that sideways stuff regardless of brand is no fun! give me a septic system every day to play in and don't call me for help on any sideways engine.

I think I’ll keep on the engine side vs septic side
30 years ago things were simpler to work on plus father time is making fun of me these days.
