Loaded some up yesterday - I see it as a variation of the famous old "Skeeter Load" 44 Special which also had a 250 gr cast bullet at about 900 - 1000 fps depending on barrel length.

Pretty sure that big ol' flat nose bullet is going to punch right through tissue real well. I like the 900 - 1100 fps range for my revolvers. Easy to shoot and hits plenty hard enough for most handgun chores.

That’s a great load Guy. Should be a fun load to shoot.

Yesterday was the trial run Jim. I'm going to order up some more of these flat faced fatties and load up a few boxes of them. :) Hopefully try 'em out on hogs and deer this fall.

That big flat meplat will really hit hard and inflict maximum shock on game. I’m loading 10.0 grs Unique with 240 gr poly coated hard cast bullets in my S&W 629 3” and getting 1040 fps. It’s an easy load that’s fun to shoot.

Which die are you using on those crimps?
The Lee factory crimp die. I seated all the bullets then added the crimp. I really like those Lee crimp dies for my revolvers and my 45-70 lever action too.
