Hung out with my brother in law at the range yesterday to put in some pistol shooting on the loads I made for the .38 Super and .45 with the Holosuns. Winds were brisk and variable right to left and cloudy. Was a nice day out. At 50 yards, off the bench , top left of the bullseye was one of the .38 Super loads using 130 grain ball / PowerPistol , and 2nd target was a mix of .45 / 185 gr. Remington Golden Saber HP and .38 Super / 124 Montana Gold HP. A couple of .45 bullets strayed to the right of the group, human error. To the right of that .45 group is the 2nd .38 Super load. Just getting used to the pistols, since my right eye injury 16 years ago which made me pack up those Kimbers in the case and left them in the safe all that time ever since. It was fun shooting those Kimbers again. My in law brought his 9mm carbine and shooting steel with it at 25 / 50 yards. Before we headed home, I did a little test with my 6 BR with fireformed brass, I swapped the bushings from .266 to a .267 and neck tension at .001"
4 shots @ 100 yards / 29.8 grains Varget / BR4 primers in 1X fired Lapua brass at 2850 fps and I'm happy with the 7 ES.
