Getting a Swan Out Of A Ugly Duckling

I scrounged up a pair of rings and put the 3-12X42 Vortex on it just to see how it would luck and to get the weight of my new toy after putting the short bolt stop in so I could take advantage of the 3.6" mag box.
Bare in the plastic stock it weighed 6.75lb now with the Laminated wood stock and scope would you believe 10.5lbs with out ammo or sling.
That should tame it down off the bench some. :wink:

That's the reason I took this off the 35Whelen/AI. It would be nice to lighten it up some but not sure I want to.
You would like to carry this one since it is thin in the magazine area.
But with bear paws like you got it's hard for me to imagine nothing you can't wrap them around :roll: :wink: :lol: :lol: :lol:
