I load 44.5 gr H4350 with the 90 AB .
I get 3200 fps and >.5" at 100.
Based on this I would say no....

I always have good luck with IMR 4895 for the light bullets and IMR 4350 for the heavy bullets.

Kurt I think H4350 will work great for you but if on the off-chance it does not, IMR4350 might just be the ONE!

I used to shoot 85 grain TSX's in my 243...my son killed his first deer with that load...I used a heavy dose of RL19 for that (48 grains IIRC)...it produced a little over 3,000 fps from the lil 20" barreled youth gun (Rem 700 Youth) and was very accurate.
H4350 is a much better powder for the 243 though...something I have only recently discovered :mrgreen: 90 grain BT's and 44 grains of H4350 does great things in 2 rifles that I know of.

If H4350 doesn't work then I'd look at RL19. I haven't found the 243 to be too picky about powders. I had one Savage that refused to shoot 100gr bullets though.

Hey another good one to try Kurt is that Hodgdon H100V in the 243. It really works well in my boys 6mm Remington and the 90 gr. E-tip!

+1 on the H100V. We have been getting great accuracy with really good velocity.

The best load I ever used in the 243 Win was with a 70 gr BT and 39.5 grs IMR 4895.
It shot bug holes in several different rifles.
