ive done pretty good useing the 4350 powders with 165gr bullets but i havent tryed the 180's yet

Congratulations on your cow tag. IMR4350 and RL 22 are both excellent powders in the 30-06 with 180 gr bullets.

i will ,, ive only got one box of fifty so i need to find a good load pretty quick dont know if i can get anymore anytime soon,, any advise on powder in grns for this load

The old stand-by load I use is 55gr. 4350 it's not super hot, but should be accurate. It'll drop an elk like s!@# from a tall horse.

I've used RL-22 with the 180 gr Hornady flat base in 2 30-06 rifles. The load is 62 gr, but I would start lower and work it up. I killed a couple cow elk with that load in my Model 70 featherweight a few years back!

this is what ive loaded,, 12 cases with 55gr of IMR 4350,,, 4 rounds at .030 off lands,, 4 rounds at .025 off lands,, and 4 rounds at .020 off lands.... the other 8 cases were also 55grs,, 4 of IMR 4350 and 4 of H 4350 set at 3.755 (all measured with comparator) all were loaded with 180gr nosler particians,,the last 8 were just for comparision between the two powders,,,, not gonna make it out today seems the wind wants to ruin my plans again  Owell maybe tomorrow morning. i do have some IMR 4064 but it has'nt really impressed me on the 165gr bullets,, ive not tryed the RL powders but i guess that gives me another reason to spend money

well boys i did get to the range today,, results were nothing spectacular tho,, it does seem that the load that was .025 off the lands did better than the rest 1.586"the others were a bit bigger  ,, im gonna post the pics of the targets in hopes of getting some advice as how to tighten the groups,,, also while at the range i shot some 165gr gamekings i got some stringing left to right  ive never seen this before how do i correct it ?????

im gonna post the pics of the targets in hopes of getting some advice as how to tighten the groups
