went to the cabin thur. for turkey season on fri. and ended up taggin out on fri. :shock: between me and the girlfriend we took 4 birds,,, two of them were pretty good size one had a 8.5 inch beard and the other had a 9 inch thats pretty good for around here,, the spurs on the two bigger birds were around an inch,, all the birds were spot and stalk :roll: infact i was able to get within 10yrds before they even knew i was there and then when they did they didnt know what to do :lol: they just set there and looked at me :wink: overall we had a good time and i cant wait to put those turkeys on the smoker :grin:

Good hunt! Wow, I can't imagine stalking turkeys. That must be pretty cool. Our birds won't let you within eye sight around here. They spot you and their gone. Post up some pictures of them. Sound like some great meat for the smoker! Scotty

i couldnt belive it myself,,, we were driving from one spot to another and the gf seen um up the hill in a little clearing ,, they were setting there pretty as you please just dusting themselves in the dirt
i didnt think i had a chance one in sneaking up on um ,, they must have had dirt in there eyes cause i was able to get right up on um :lol:
ill get some pics up as soon as jen gets home with the camera
