Dropped off my R700 223 at the smiths few days ago. Had an extra MBM beast 4 port and figured I'd throw it on there. Has just enough muzzle flip to prevent spotting your impacts at higher power unless you were holding the rifle tight.

The MBM beast 4 port brought it down to virtually nothing. I can now easily see 100 yard impacts at 40x with a light hold.

After I reattached the scope, I set out this evening to get a quick 100y zero and then shoot a group at 500. It was 3/4" low and 1/4" left at 100 yards. Not to bad considering a 4 oz piece of steel was added and reattaching the scope. Went right 2 clicks up 6 clicks and put the next shot in the bullseye. Let the barrel cool, loaded 3 in the mag and dialed 8.75 MOA for 500. Got settled in and fired 3 rounds that measured 1.75"

I love this little 223...

Nice shooting, I like the gun too! Do you mind sharing your load data? Which Berger's are you running and what powder/how much?

I'm looking to try out long range and start dialing my skills in this space. Potentially hunting and taking game at a longer range as time and practice have passed. Is starting out with .223 a good idea or should I stick to the gun I probably will carry? It's only a 6.5 PRC and recoil isn't bad at all. I'm just looking at reloading factors here more than anything else.
