Nope, clear shot at about 25 yards on the dead run. That’s been pretty a common entrance hole size on deer at that speed per my last few I’ve shot. Even the 35 Remington has made holes that big going in. For some reason that bullet makes big holes on entrance. Those things are nastier than a ballistic tip out of my 243 on a coyote! Still 0 for 0 to drop a deer and it tracks with that bullet. Closest one was the biggest buck. I’ve shot with my 35 Rem. Still took a few steps and then tipped over.That's a wicked entrance wound. I'm wondering if the bullet hit a limb.

I would assume that flat metplate has something to do with large entrance hole …or is just so soft that it comes apart before it even enters the deer.
