They quite making my favorite powder H870 for the 160 grn Nosler Partition and the AccuBond. They both grouped under an .5 @ 100 out of my M700 7mm RM does any body Know what powder took its place. any help would be great. I'v only got 3/4 lb :(

I'd try RETUMBO and the newer H869. They are both very close to H870 in burn rate.

I have had excellent results with RETUMBO in magnum cases when shooting heavy bullets. I'm just getting started with the H869.

You can check any powder burn rate chart to see what other powders are close to H870 in burn rate. Personally, I think that H870 was too slow burning for "most" sporting applications. It is often to bulky to achieve maximum velocities in many cases,

Just my 2 cents.

Buckfever, H870 used to be my favorite powder with the 7mm mag and heavy 175 gr bullets. When I couldn't get it anymore, I turned to Reloader 22, and H4831, which have both worked well. I haven't yet tried Retumbo in the 7mm Rem mag, but it sure works great in my .300 RUM.

These days I'm using Reloader 22, pushing a 175 at 2880 fps, about 50 fps slower than my old H870 load.

Regards, Guy

Thanks for the help. I do like to use RL 22 with 175 partitions my rifle shoots them very well and had good luck with RL19 with 140s but for 160s H870 out shot everything so i didn't try anything other powders until now. I have some Retumbo and buy what everyone suggested and go from thier thanks again.
