H322 close to 2015?

Back in '95 I used 53.5gr of the old AA2015BR behind the 250X in my 35 Whelen AI for 2600fps. Most know that I have used R15 for the Nosler/Speer 250s but at much higher ( and pressure, of course) velocity. I have never used any 250 on game other than that old 250X ( I still have some). It plowed through just "some" plains game in South Africa and later the 200X ( I use H322 with) did the same. I know 2015 has changed names through the years, but I never bought any...I used that 200gr more than anything. I have a good store of H322 and near as I can make out in my Google research it is very close. I figure I can start at 49-50 and work up slow with the Nosler & Speer for 2600? I also used the BR2 primer with the 250X/2015 load but Fed 215M with the R15. Anyone know how close they are to each other? thanks. Rev Jim

Very Close! But H322 is much more temperature stable. I have seen 2015 be as much as 2.5fps per grain per degree, depending on caliber and bullet weight. 2015 seems to be a bit more stable with heavy class bullets, but still not in the class with H322.

I have had wonderful service from 58gr H322 behind both the older 200X (2970fps) and the newer 200TTSX ( 58.5gr/2950fps) in my baby. I "know" I can use H4895 and similar BUT...sure would like to get close tot hat old 53.5gr/2015BR load! Thanks Pard!

Don't fix it Jim. If it ain't broke stay with H322. Seems like it works pretty well.

I suppose I should have asked what does QL show for H322/250PT or Speer/22"bbl/Rem cases/for 2600? What I had in mind was (a) replicate that lower charge of 53.5gr/2015 and (b) get only 2600fps from my rifle instead of 2750 with 61gr/R15/250PT and Speer. That 5.3gr/2015/250X is a very moderate recoiling, easy to shoot load. Even that wonderful 310 load is a big push. This 61gr/R15/250 makes me glad I have the muzzlebrake, especially when its wearing its synthetic stock!
