I agree with the Doc. Especially if you practice with it at assorted distances.

Without a doubt, it has come down to comfort with the gun, more so than how many FPS I am getting.
 
The velocity doesn't matter as much as a consistent group and the confidence that brings. I did focus on the velocity a bit because I know the ETip is a very tough bullet and I want make sure its going to be in its operating range for my shot range.
 
This might help, when I can't remember my last COAL and did not write it down, I seat one of the next load batch with that seater stem setting and just measure the cartridge because the seater stem is still set for that COAL. Might help someone to remember that, it has me a few times?
 
That could help, except that I use a couple different presses and also use a competition seater die for most cartridges.

I wrote down the recipe this time. :)
