Getting started right on time, Jim. Don't do much on New Year Eve, but the day does see some interest around our house. I do pray all who post here will see a prosperous and joyous New Year. God bless America, and God bless Canada.

Happy New Year all! Spending the day with my wife. Take a drive to a nearby town, lunch. We'll be safely tucked back here at home long before the festivities start tonight.

tonight is my night to let loose , and get crazy . I'll start by getting my shower a little early , so I don't miss out on any of the festivities . then I'll finish the night up by staying up way past bed time . I'll probably be hitting the sack around 9:30 or 10 tonight . I know I'm setting the bar pretty high , so if you can't run with the big dog , stay on the porch .

Well, we can hope. His own party doesn't want him. Today, a woman on the slopes here in BC told him he sucks and that he needed to "get the f*@% out of BC."

Happy New Year to all. I expect it to be pretty quiet here. We're still cleaning up from the storms last week and are more than a little tired. I guess using a saw all day will do that to you.

Using an axe will too, ha ha. I had a pine tree fall over in my yard, and it took out another tree on it's way down. Delimbed them and got some nice blisters to show for it.
I actually love swinging an axe, it is mentally relaxing, but sometimes I over do it, heh.Happy New Year, everyone!

Happy New Year everyone!
I went to bed at 2300hrs and left the wife who had napped most of the evening to bring in the New Year.
Had to get an MRI with Resolution in the morning and my stomach wasn't having any of the side effects so I was washed out.
Hopefully the day will be better, so I can enjoy some cabbage and potatoes for dinner.

Ah, yes, the tabula rasa of another circuit about the sun. This begins seventy-eight for me, though I can't say that every one really was a pure, unspoiled initiation. Still, I'm hopeful. I've requested a meal of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes with milk gravy, and black-eyed peas. All this is to be topped off with bread pudding topped with butter sauce. The meal is certain to give a cardiologist heartburn, but, hey! You only live once! Just the way to start a new year. A happy and blessed new year to all posting here. May the year bring contentment and prosperity to you and yours.
you're echoing my thoughts exactly. There was time when every New Years Eve we went out to dinner and then enjoyed a Noisy evening to celebrate the New Year. As we age our brain/body gets smarter and says go out for dinner and then enjoy New Years at home. Then you get to a point where you have a nice dinner at home and hopefully stay awake long enough to see the ball come down at midnight. I hit the sack at 1045PM and watched the ball come down on the News this morning.Happy New Year , Fellas .
