HBN coating bullets seems very interesting and much less messy than moly coating. Do any of you have any experience with it? There is a lot of information about it out there and David Tubb swears by it. His resume is quite impressive I might add. I’m thinking about trying it with E-Tips to see if it lowers the pressure associated with the bullet. Which is what it seems to do with other projectiles.

Also here is a link to some interesting experiments the military is conducting by adding it to powders to prolong barrel life. They used IMR-4198 for part of their experiment. This may be the next step in powder development. NO IM NOT SAYING ADD BORON NITRIDE TO YOUR POWDERS. It’s just a thought provoking experiment with promising results that could prolong our barrel life in the future.

Try it and see! I do know that moly reduces pressure with E-tips. I'm using book max loads in most cases. Over book max usually with bullets of standard construction.
